Buy Me!

Polaroid Pogo Review

I normally bitch and whine about things I don’t like, but this time I’m going to praise and compliment about things I do like.

That is the Polaroid Pogo, it is similar to Dell Wasabi printer, however, since I am using Polaroid Pogo, and I believe Pogo came out first before Wasabi, I’ll stick to Pogo.

The Pink Pogo

Its really sad that the Pogo is not available everywhere, and if it is available in your area (ASIA/Australian/Nz) its going to be really expensive. In UK amazon sells them for around £25 the last time I checked, and US is pretty much around there if you convert. It goes for $100 aud or more if you get it from shops over there, so everything in Aus is expensive! Paper is around £11 for a pack of 70, so its relatively cheap, compared to other places.

I’ve bought the printer for me & my gf as a christmas gift for our travel, we both have a Moleskine Organiser and it was perfect to travel around with a printer and a diary. Print it stick it and write stuff about the travel, so its like a souvenir of that area.

This is not a printer for serious photographers that wants to sell the little 3×2 photos commercially, but it is more for people that wants to have something physical to touch and look at, and to keep. Its good for those sentimental emotional individuals such as myself, where I tear just by looking at a photo.

The quality clarity and color is not that good, but its really acceptable to have fun with. The photo is printed on a sticky paper so you can stick it to anywhere. Color may come out a bit off, but I guess it brings the artsy element to your photos.

The portable function is awesome, one full charge could print you around 11 photos, and the paper I bought one pack is 10 pieces. The printing takes around 7-10 seconds depending on the file size your sending to the printer. It is pretty simple to operate, there is just one button to switch on and everything is done on the camera, phone or laptop.

Most digital cameras now have pictbridge function, if your camera doesn’t have it, just throw it away and buy a new one cause its really old. I’ve printed photos using the USB pictbridge function from my D3, my lil sony and my gf’s casio point and shoot, and with bluetooth on my Macbook Pro. So tried and tested, those work!

The only issue with my POGO is that it can’t print from Iphone, because apple is too stupid to make a normal functioning bluetooth on Iphone. So other phones with camera should work alright with POGO.
