Buy Me!

Buy my art

Home Sweet Home

Back in Malaysia again…Got home around 5ish…unpacked all the cheap fake stuff I bought and started uploading the photographs I took.

Started sorting out all the photos and processing some, lots to do. So I traveled around 3 days in Chiang Mai with my family.

Ended up with some great captures!! Everyday is a learning curve for me, learned quite a lot again from this trip. One of it is randomness, it can sometimes yield great results.

I’ll show some examples of that below.
Anyways…Sorted 70% of the photos, but Its not justified if I just post all of it at one go, attention to some photos will be missed out!! So to allow everybody to view each photo, I’ll post up sections by sections of the trip. With comments on how the photograph was taken.

Anyways, I sorted out Photos from Day 2 of the trip, because it was a proper sight seeing trip, day one was just a temple and a hotel parents visited before 2 years ago, they just wanted to show us again, so not that interesting…..

So this is Day 2 of the trip…

Woke up early…and first visit was a natural hot spring area…on the way to Chiang Rai (North of Chiang Mai, I THINK!)…

Lone Seller

Saw this seller sitting on the floor. Just pointed the camera at home, waited till he looked up and snapped. Smiled then left….its always good to keep eye level, if I was to take it from a standing position, the feel would be different.

This was at the hot springs…wasn’t that interesting, just boiling water spraying out…….these ladies are selling quail eggs, eggs and some other stuff. All you have to do is soak the basket with the food in the water and its cooked….but didn’t do it…..and the place smells foul….Sulfur if you know what it smells like…

Randomness Lesson

This is the lesson of randomness….these 2 pictures(below) were actually not even planned. I was in the van, just saw some pretty views, but I couldn’t ask the driver to stop. The van was going really fast….so best is just to open it wide or set a higher iso so you’ll be able to get a faster shutter speed, so the image won’t be blur. Even if its wide, if the focus is infinity, the depth of field will still be good and not that bad with the focus. If you can just go for f8 – f16 just do it..because its really sunny, so the shutter will still be pretty high….Better to keep ISO low…to get a better image without noise….(enough Tech talk)

Alright….so all the image came out crap…but 2 frames came out good…cropped a lil and sorted the colours and what do you have!! A photograph Fit to be FRAMED

I choose to do it B+W and Sepia because it fits the mood of a farm, with the old school look with a lil drama.
Colored ones doesn’t feel the same. Notice the rules of the third going on there? Will be mentioning more of that in the future.

Its Late….will be posting more of Day 2 tomorrow…

Good Night
